Suspected terrorists have killed two worshipers and burnt down seven shops in an attack on Ekklesiyar Yanu’wa a Nigeria Church in the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno state.
According to ASP Nahum Daso, Police Public Relations Officer for the Borno State Police Command, “We got a call from our Chibok Division. The report from them said the terrorist shot sporadically, and unfortunately, two persons died.” The attack occurred at around 2 am, and fortunately, there were no worshipers in the church at the time.
The police have mounted surveillance and deployed an armed team to restore the confidence among residents of the area.
The authorities have taken decisive action to prevent such attacks and protect the lives and properties of all citizens.
