Media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM),expressed surprise at Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo’s claims of receiving threats and facing emotional trauma due to her advocacy for justice in Mohbad’s case. In a video shared on his Instagram page, he reacted to her recent statements about the late singer.
VDM revealed they had a private meeting about two weeks earlier, where they discussed their differences concerning the case. “Given our conversation, her recent public statements came as a surprise,” he said, questioning the consistency between their private talk and her recent claims.
He further alleged that Iyabo Ojo might have been manipulated by individuals involved in Mohbad’s death, exploiting her emotional responses to divert public attention. “It appears she’s being used to shift focus away from the truth,” VDM stated.
VDM also raised suspicions about Ojo’s connection to Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, noting they share the same IP address, which led him to suggest Ojo might be managing Wunmi’s social media account.
Criticizing Ojo’s handling of the case, VDM accused her of ignorance and emotional bias, warning that such an approach could hinder the pursuit of justice for Mohbad. “Her emotional bias risks clouding the real issues,” he added.
The ongoing feud between VDM and Iyabo Ojo has sparked heated discussions online, with many calling for a thorough and objective investigation into Mohbad’s untimely death.
