The Nigerian entertainment industry is mourning the loss of veteran actor Davis Offor, best known for his iconic role as Clarus in the hit sitcom ,The New Masquerade.
Fellow actor Tony Akposheri, who played Zacky in the popular series, confirmed the news, sharing an emotional tribute to his late colleague on Facebook.
“Davis Offor, fondly known as Clarus from New Masquerade, is gone,” Akposheri wrote, recalling their recent meeting at the turn of the New Year.
Akposheri described Offor as more than just a colleague, highlighting his warmth, humour, and vibrant personality.
“You were a friend, a brother, a man with warmth, humour, and a presence that could light up any space,” he added.
The late actor’s sudden death has left a painful void, with Akposheri struggling to come to terms with the loss.
“Davis Offor rose to prominence through The New Masquerade, a beloved Nigerian sitcom that captivated audiences with its humour and memorable characters.
