Veteran Nigerian actress Jumoke George has finally reunited with her daughter, Adeola, who had been missing for four years. Adeola, 41, was located alive in Mali after Jumoke publicly disclosed her disappearance on the “Talk to B” show hosted by Abiola Bayo.
Adeola had been living with her grandmother in Ibadan before informing her family of a trip to Lagos. Subsequently, she contacted her family, seeking forgiveness and explaining that she had traveled abroad with friends in pursuit of better opportunities.
During the years of her daughter’s absence, Jumoke faced significant health and financial challenges. Her condition hindered her ability to accept acting roles, leading to financial strain and the need to borrow funds for medical treatment. Despite these hardships, she dedicated any income from occasional jobs to the search for Adeola, all while managing medical bills amounting to N400,000 for further tests.
Talk show host Biola Bayo revealed Adeola’s whereabouts on Wednesday, stating she had spoken with Adeola via video call. Although Adeola hasn’t directly contacted her mother, Jumoke expressed immense relief knowing her daughter is alive. Currently, Jumoke is receiving treatment at a state hospital in Lagos and awaits further medical evaluation.
