The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the long-awaited results for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for candidates.
In a statement shared via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, WAEC confirmed that the results are now accessible to all candidates who participated in the examination. The Council congratulated candidates and urged them to check their results promptly via the online result-checking portal.
“The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025,” the statement read.
Candidates are to log on to http://waecdirect.org to view their results.
To ensure a smooth result-checking process, WAEC also released a step-by-step guide for accessing the results online:
Visit http://waecdirect.org
Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number
(7-digit centre number followed by 3-digit candidate number, e.g., 4123456789)
Input the 4-digit examination year (e.g., 2025)
Select your examination type (e.g., School Candidates)
Enter the e-PIN voucher number
Input the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on the e-PIN
Click “Submit” and wait for the result window to display your scores
WAEC noted that candidates who wrote the exam in earlier years (before 1999) should input their 8-digit WAEC Examination Number instead.
