The West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, WASSCE, has continued its exams despite the strike action on Monday.

Candidates sat for French Language examination without disruption by the labor union bodies.

The exam body had requested for an exemption on Sunday, however the labor leaders consider the global consequences of stopping the candidates from writing the exams.

WAEC’s Public Relations Officer, Moyo Adeshina, applauded the Organized Labor for allowing the candidates to write their exams.

She said, “Yes, we are happy that the candidates were able to write French Language and one other paper on (Monday) without any hindrance despite the strike action called by the labor leadership.”
