The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has highlighted his commitment to reinforcing the party’s grassroots structure.
He stated this at the E-Membership Registration Train-the-Trainer Workshop in Abuja.
He also pledged to introduce innovative programs and policies to strengthen the party’s foundation and ensure its status as a genuine grassroots progressive political entity.
Among the initiatives outlined by Ganduje include ensuring that party offices at the ward, local government, and state levels remain operational throughout the year, not just during election periods.
“Establishing the Progressives Institute to train party members, promote good governance, and institutionalize progressive ideology.Launching the e-registration process for party members.
“We gather here today by the grace of God to fulfill our promise of digitalizing our party’s membership.
“This initiative will provide us with a comprehensive view of our membership, their geographical spread, and demographic details. It will support our planning and decision-making processes and serve as a reference for any member seeking appointments or contesting elections”, Ganduje stated.
He announced that the app and portal for trainees from the thirty-six states and the FCT, Abuja, would soon be reactivated, allowing members to register online from anywhere in the world.
“Members will need to provide their biometric data, which must match their National Identity Number (NIN). “Those listed in the digital register will be recognized as true and faithful members of our party,” he added.
Ganduje called on Honourable Ministers, as key stakeholders, to offer technical support to achieve the laudable objectives. Addressing the trainees, he emphasized the importance of learning from the program to effectively train others in their respective states.
Expressing satisfaction with the selection of resource persons and consultants, Ganduje noted, “These distinguished individuals are equipped to deliver both theoretical and technological knowledge. I reaffirm my dedication to the ideals of our great party, setting new benchmarks in our democratic sphere, and ensuring the continuation of the APC government at all levels”, he added.
