The Wife of General Overseer of the Redeemed Christan Church of God,
Pastor Mrs. Folu Adeboye has called upon women in political leadership positions to serve as agent of change in the communities, family and nation at large.
She charged them to contribute significantly to uplifting the society and foster progress in the country.
Pastor Folu gave this charge during the women in Ministry Conference held at RCCG Region 10 Headquarters, the Master’s Place Parish Abuja.
The wife of the Regional Pastor, Pastor Mrs. Folashade Akiode who represented Mrs Folu Adeboye, spoke on the theme “Women of the Right Hand ”.
She said the theme is a clarion call for women not to close their eyes to the needy and people who require one intervention or the other.
Taking her text from Matthew 25:34-46, she said helping the needy is a necessary requirement to being at God’s right hand.

This must start from our homes, as we relate with our husband, children and in-laws, neighbours, friends, colleagues, and members of the body of Christ. Especially those Christ specifically mentioned, the hungry, needy, sick, prisoners and indeed alliens, so as to draw many back into the light of Christ”. She counselled.

Omotola Olapejo Agunbiade one of the speakers present at the conference lamented the level at which some women in Politics misuse their position and demean the usefulness of the female gender in political offices.
She called on women in power to yield to God’s direction and leadership to effectively make impact in their offices.
Omotola further celebrated women making impact in their own little space, to keep fufiling purpose.
“There are so many things that people will tell you about the future, but the success of the future solely depend on how well you follow God’s instruction and direction. If you allow him to lead and guide you, a bright future is assured. We have women who are doing extremely well in offices, affecting our nation positively, focused and has agenda of fufiling purpose, these are women we should emulate.
“Wherever you are located is a place of your calling, use those offices rightly to affect your generation, let people see God in you through those places you are occupying, because God is expecting you to deliver on his mandate”, she said.
On her part, Adenike Oyelade from the RCCG upper room parish in Utako described women as goal keepers, who safeguard the nation.
She urged women to take their roles and responsibilities serious to push the society towards a paradigm shift.
“We should support the nation in every aspect to see that everything is done rightly, even from the girl child perspective, this will make a great impact.”
Oyelade pleaded with mother’s with erring Children to deal with them in love.
” We need to pray for them and give them proper counsel, this tactics, though slow, does more healing to the soul.”
Olubumi Ayeni one of the participant at the conference expressed joy at the conference teachings and guidelines.
“The event has brought to light, the need to play feminine role in the society.
Personally God has given me a vision today, I pray that God will make me a channel of blessing to my generation.” She said.
