In a bold move that bridges the worlds of music and media, fast-rising Nigerian artist and entrepreneur, Amb. Christopher Ogar, popularly known as Jaymoni, has partnered with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council to promote and elevate the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The partnership was officially unveiled on Thursday during Jaymoni’s high-profile visit to the NUJ FCT Council secretariat in Abuja, where he was warmly received by the council’s trailblazing Chairperson, Comrade Grace Ike, and Secretary, Comrade Jide Oyekunle.
Jaymoni, the voice behind the hit track “Congratulations” and co-owner of the bold Wayward brand, used the visit to congratulate Comrade Ike on her historic achievement as the first female chairperson of the NUJ FCT Council in its 41-year history.
The multifaceted artist revealed that his second single of the year, “Where The Money Dey (WTMD),” will officially drop on Friday, April 11, 2025, across all major streaming platforms. Coinciding with the release, his “Feed The Street” initiative will also kick off in Lagos, providing food and essential items to underserved communities.
Comrade Grace Ike was full of praise for Jaymoni’s artistry and humanitarian spirit.
“I’m thrilled to see such a talented young artist like you. We can do a lot together because we share a common energy.” She said, “Music is life, and journalists understand the importance of platforms like yours.”
She emphasized the NUJ’s readiness to support Jaymoni’s efforts and called for more collaborative ventures that benefit both the creative and media industries.
