The Acting Managing Director of the Abuja market management limited Engr Yakubu Abbas, has lauded the Inspector General of police over the appointment of Mr Bennett Igwe, as new FCT Commissioner of police.
He emphasised that Igwe a former commander of the disbanded Special anti robbery squad is one passionate cop who knows the fct terrain having served in the FCT command and police zone 7 headquarters for years.
His recent task as CP special intervention squad of the IGP also did a lot to flush out kidnappers from their hideouts in Mpape and other suburbs.
He implored FCT residents to give him support and cooperation so as to fight criminality in the territory.
“As Abuja market management, we have intensified efforts to secure FCT markets and with the coming of the new CP, we are going to sustain it, as we expect full working relation with Mr Igwe.
” I want to commend IGP Egbetokun on the choice of Igwe as FCT Commissioner of Police.
