AFCON Quarter final – Minister Charges Super Eagles on making the country proud

The Sports Development Minister, Senator John Owan Eno, urged the Super Eagles of Nigeria to make the nation proud by excelling well, as they prepare for the Quarter-final against Palancas Negras of Angola in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.

In a statement relayed through his SA media, Diana-Mary Nsan, the Minister applauded the team’s outstanding performance and emphasized that their mission was far from over, expressing confidence in their ability to bring the coveted trophy back home.

He reminded them that while they had given a good account of themselves, the ultimate accomplishment would be securing victory in the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

“Let me quickly remind you that the job is not yet done, and it will only be done when you bring the highly sought-after trophy back home as worthy African Champions.The team has what it takes to win the trophy”, he said.
