The Chairman of Agidigbo FM in Nigeria and United Kingdom, Dr Oriyomi Hamzat, has resumed work at the Broadcasting House of Agidigbo FM, Ibadan, after hiatus.
The members of staff and other well wishers gave Dr Oriyomi Hamzat a warm welcome on arrival at the office.
Recall that in December 2024, the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, ordered the remand of the former wife of the Ooni of Ife, Naomi Silekunola; and the Chief Executive Officer of Agidigbo FM, Oriyomi Hamzat; and the Principal of Islamic High School, Basorun, Abdullahi Fasasi, at the Agodi Correctional Centre.
They were arraigned in connection with the recent stampede at an Ibadan funfair held at Islamic High School, which resulted in the deaths of 35 children and left several others injured.
The defendants had remained in custody pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution of the state Ministry of Justice.
