The People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) has made an urgent appeal to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the effort to reclaim the Edo state secretariat located at number fifty-nine airport road Benin city which is currently occupied by All Progressive Congress party which is popularly called APC.

The property in question has been occupied by the PDP since 2020 when Governor Obaseki made the switch to the party after being disqualified from running for governorship under the APC.

Recall that in 2024 the APC took back control of the property forcefully evicting the PDP from the secretariat located at number fifty-nine airport road in Benin city.

The group is therefore calling on President Tinubu to quickly look into the situation and ensure that everything is back to normal.

“We believe the President is aware of what is happening in Edo state and across the country. He must allow peace to reign in this party. We want PDP members in Edo state to remain calm and avoid actions that may escalate the situation.”
