Former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has called upon citizens of Rivers State to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Amaechi stated that the move is aimed at unseating the current government and alleviating widespread hardship in the state.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been adopted as the platform to challenge the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking to journalists, Amaechi expressed optimism among opposition leaders that the party’s flagbearer selection process would be transparent, free, and fair.
“Every Rivers man who thinks good of the state and country should move to register with the new party and ensure that we remove the current government and stop the hunger that everybody is suffering from,” Amaechi stated.
He further stressed the unity among opposition leaders, stating,”The moment anybody emerges from the primary, all of us will support; that’s the agreement.” He reiterated their demand for “a free and fair, transparent primary
