The Spokesperson of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH), Mrs Elabha Meni, has condemned the report stating that the popular artiste and superstar, Burna Boy has covered the medical Bills of all patients in the hospital.
The spokesperson further noted that the hospital did not receive direct payment from the musician and his team on behalf of patients to support reduction of health care cost.
Meni stated that the artiste settled the bills of some selected individuals.
“Contrary to reports stating that all patient’s bills in UPTH were paid during the visit, only selected patients received cash gifts or donations.
She lauded the artiste for his charitable act by supporting the needy
“We commend Burna Boy’s kindness in financially assisting selected patients in our hospital to offset their bills during his visit to our hospital recently”.
