Nigerian content creator Jadrolita has addressed circulating rumors suggesting she is in an abusive relationship with fellow TikTok star Peller, following a contentious joint livestream that sparked widespread concern among fans.
In a follow-up broadcast, Jadrolita dismissed the allegations, emphasizing her autonomy and the misinterpretation of the livestream incident.
“Advise your family. I know what I want. You people are giving the narrative that Peller is beating me. Are you people okay? I be small pikin? I’m a small girl but I’m not a child,” she stated, asserting that she would not remain in an abusive relationship.
She further elaborated on her stance, highlighting her commitment to personal well-being:
“This is not 1960 where a woman will marry and her husband will beat her and they’ll tell her not to leave her marriage. Ehn! Me I’m not doing that. If it was something like that I would have left. I’m not capping. If it was something of abuse or we are fighting, he’s hitting me like all those beating, I would have left. There’s no two way about it. My life first, my mental health, my sanity first,” she explained.
Addressing the incident directly, Jadrolita clarified:
“Thank you very much. Nobody is abusing anybody. If anybody was abusing anybody you would have seen marks on my body. Calm down. Whatever went on there was just a misunderstanding or miscommunication. Thank you for the care. Thank you for the love.”
The controversy arose after a livestream featuring the couple led to public speculation about potential abuse, prompting reactions from fans and social commentators.
Notably, social activist Just Adetoun criticized the couple for their online conduct, warning against the negative influence such content could have on young audiences.
Jadrolita, also known as Jarvis, and Peller have been prominent figures on TikTok, known for their collaborative content and public relationship. The recent incident adds to a series of public disputes between the duo, including a previous controversy involving Peller’s alleged infidelity during a trip to Ghana.
