Match Moved to Tuesday

The much-anticipated clash between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses has been pushed forward yet again this time due to a lack of approval from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Originally envisioned as a two-legged friendly, the fixture has undergone multiple changes. The first leg was scheduled for Friday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, with the second to follow shortly after. However, logistical setbacks particularly the delayed arrival of the Cameroonian team forced both sides to agree to a single match instead.
In a bid to salvage the encounter, Monday was proposed as the new date, with the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta selected as the venue, but it was postponed as CAF withheld approval for the revised fixture, citing procedural issues.
With CAF’s nod still a prerequisite, both football federations have now agreed to reschedule the match once again this time for Tuesday, barring any further disruptions.
Despite the shifting timelines, anticipation remains high for the face-off between two of Africa’s football powerhouses, as both teams look to fine-tune their squads ahead of upcoming international engagements.
