A 37- year old woman Fatima Abubakar has been arraigned by the Adamawa State Police Command Yola South for allegedly maltreating two toddlers under her care.
The police spokesman explained that the suspect confessed to the crimes after she was arrested on Saturday, According to him, the Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, has ordered that she be charged to court.
The state police spokesman, Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed that investigations revealed that Fatima subjected the children to abuse because they urinated and defecated inside the house.
Nguroje said, “Neighbours reported that Fatima, who is childless, had a history of maltreating the children, including denying them food and warning others not to interfere in her affairs.”
