The Leaderships of the Arewa Renaissance group,Oodua Integrity Group and the Global information team have called on the Inspector General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, his DSS counterpart and other relevant security agencies to urgently investigate, arrest and prosecute both SenatorNwaoboshi and Fred Ajudua over their involvement in land grabbing activities in some communities in Delta state particularly Ibuzor.
The spokesperson of the groups Hajia Umma Nana UBA made this call during a world press conference in Abuja, after monitoring a report filed by montage Africa news crew that visited the ibuzor community to practically see for itself.
According to the group, the nefarious activities of the two parties is presently creating fears in the minds of the inhabitants of the area .
“It is alleged by many Ibuzor indigenes that Fred Ajudua sent thugs to people’s home in the night to forcefully collect powers of attorney against their wish.”
“Some of this actions has led to the elimination of some people with police doing nothing to arrest the suspects even when such incidences are reported.” Findings by the intelligence team of the groups also confirmed that majority of the police and military officers have been compromised by both Fred Ajudua and Sen Nwaoboshi.
“Brand new SUV is always given to any new divisional police officer posted to the area.
Some of the antics of Fred Ajudua as alleged is also the luring of investors to Ibuzor by falsely laying claim to the land for estate purposes.”
“Presently, he is threatening one Chief Leonard Okoli ( Rasta) over his lands. One of such incidents occured when he despatched his dreaded thugs alongside some police personnel to unleash terror on Chief Bernard Okoli for no reason until a call was made to save the situation.”
The CSOs described it as unacceptable and barbaric in a civilised democracy and decent society. They urged the hierarchy of the police, dss and others to quickly wade into the matter as if left unchecked portrays the security agencies in bad light. “No individual no matter how influential must be left to torment people or be an impediment to the lives and properties of others.”
