A Mental Health Practitioner, Dr Elsie Ijorogu- Reed has received the prestigious President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from Former United States President, Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
This honor recognizes her lifelong dedication to building a stronger nation through volunteer service.
In expressing her gratitude, Dr. Ijorogu-Reed stated that the award reflects her years of dedication, resilience, and passion for holistic wellness, maternal health, mental health advocacy, alternative medicine, poverty alleviation, IT mentorship, women’s rights advocacy, and combating abuse.
In her words “I am deeply humbled and honored to receive the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States, recognizing my lifelong commitment to service and community impact,” she said.
“This award is a testament to years of dedication, resilience, and relentless passion for holistic wellness, maternal health, mental health advocacy, alternative medicine, poverty alleviation, IT mentorship, women’s rights advocacy, and standing against abuse.”

Dr. Ijorogu-Reed emphasized that empowering women and underserved communities has been at the heart of her mission.
She highlighted her advocacy for the establishment of a school in Oku-Ijorogu, ensuring access to education for children in her ancestral home.
Dr Ijorogu-Reed extended her gratitude to everyone who has supported her journey, including her family, mentors, and the individuals whose lives she has touched.
She concluded by reaffirming her commitment to continue serving, educating, and empowering individuals and communities.
The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor given for community service.
