The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Kayamo has given assurance that the federal government is unwavering in its dedication to prioritizing the welfare of aviation workers.
He made the disclosure at the tenth annual Aviation Workers Week in Abuja.
He said workers are strategic partners in achieving the aviation roadmap, because the five-point agenda cannot be achieved without the cooperation of workers.
The Minister expressed his enthusiasm for the event’s timely theme, emphasizing its relevance in the ministry’s ongoing efforts to uplift the struggling aviation sector.
“I recognize workers as critical stakeholders in the aviation roadmap project. Workers are strategic partners in achieving the aviation roadmap, because the five point agenda cannot be a checked without the cooperation of workers”, he said.
He commended the aviation professionals for playing a critical role in improving the sector.
Keyamo pledged that the resolutions from the event would receive the utmost attention from the ministry.
“We are committed to implementing the necessary changes to propel the aviation industry forward”, he said.
The Chairman of the Joint Consultative and Negotiation Council (JNCN), Comrade Hector Nnadi, emphasized that the theme focuses on Key Performance Index (KPI) and Key Performance Results (KPR).
“The role of the workers in actualizing the 5-point agenda, anchored on the reviewed aviation roadmap, cannot be overemphasized”, he said.
The event reached its pinnacle as outstanding staff members were recognized and awarded for their exemplary performances, showcasing the commitment and dedication of aviation professionals in achieving the lofty goals set for the industry.
