The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by Garba Shehu
The former President, passed away at the age of 82 in a London clinic. He died on Sunday, July 13, 2025, after a prolonged illness.
Buhari served as Nigeria’s President from 2015 to 2023 and earlier as military Head of State from 1983 to 1985.
Buhari’s administration focused on anti-corruption campaigns, infrastructure development, and national security challenges, including the fight against Boko Haram.
