The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje has urged northern leaders to drop any ambitions of contesting in the 2027 election, emphasizing that power will remain in the South, followed by the North thereafter.
Ganduje conveyed this message to northern leaders through visitors from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Media Team (PBAT) and the Tinubu Northern Youth Forum at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
He sought the cooperation of northern leaders in supporting President Bola Tinubu for the upcoming 2027 election.
His words: “Our president is from the south and Insha Allah will secure a second term in 2027. After that, it will be the turn of the northern part of this country.
“When a leader from the northern part of this country was in office for eight years, we advocated that the next president from our party should come from the south. Fortunately, we worked very hard with the cooperation of Nigerians.
Ganduje further expressed his confidence in President Tinubu’s administration.
“We are happy that we have started seeing the outcome of the reforms, especially on the economic front, and we believe this will continue to yield positive results so that the legacy and the Renewed Hope Agenda will be achieved.”
The leader of the PBAT Media Centre, Hon. Dada Olusegun said that PBAT media is open to collaborating with the APC office media to push out positive works of this administration.
“Media arm of the party should work with the media part of the president.
“This is the stage to show workings Showings all the workings the president as done,” he added.
After highlighting his success in using social media to counter negative news about the President and showcase his positive achievements, Dada urged the party to support social media influencers.
