The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reviewed its policy to allow candidates who have lost access to their registered SIM cards or email addresses to update their GSM numbers and/or email addresses through a secure and controlled process.
The service, which commenced on Monday, September 21, 2026, is available only at designated JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, including State Offices where applicable.
According to JAMB, the service is intended for candidates with genuine cases and is subject to strict identity and biometric verification.
Candidates seeking to access the service are required to visit designated JAMB centres and follow the prescribed verification process.
The board said the service can only be accessed once, stressing the need for candidates to use only authorised JAMB centres and avoid unauthorised persons or channels.
JAMB also advised candidates to adhere to the established procedures to ensure the security of their personal information and prevent misuse of the service.
