The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has dealt a significant blow to terrorist organizations in the North-East and North-West regions, killing several insurgents in a series of precision-guided airstrikes.
According to Group Capt. Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director, Public Relations and Information, NAF, the airstrikes were conducted between March 17 and March 19, targeting notorious terrorist enclaves in Chiralia, Grazah, Yuwe, and Zango Hill.
“In response, a formidable force package of NAF attack aircraft unleashed a precise and overwhelming assault, obliterating multiple enemy structures and eliminating terrorists desperately attempting to escape with follow-up strikes,” Ali said.
The airstrikes significantly disrupted terrorist activities, neutralizing high-value targets and destroying critical infrastructure used for logistics and coordination.
As Ali noted, “Intelligence assessments indicate that the strikes… destroyed critical infrastructure used by the terrorists for logistics and coordination.”
Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions revealed armed bandits hiding in rugged terrain, prompting a swift response from the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
Attack aircraft were deployed, unleashing precision strikes that pounded enemy positions. Follow-up bombardments targeted regrouping fighters attempting to escape destruction.
The recent airstrikes is said to have significantly disrupted terrorist activities across multiple regions. As a result, several high-value targets were neutralized, and critical infrastructure used for logistics and coordination was destroyed .
