The National Examinations Council (NECO) has on Friday postponed the 2024 Staff Promotion Examination, till further notice.
In a statement on Friday, issued by the Acting Director, Directorate of Information and Digital Communication, Azeez Sani, he stated that the postponement was in compliance with the directive of the Committee on Basic Examination Bodies of the House of Representatives.
He said, “The Committee has also scheduled a meeting with the Registrar/CE of NECO, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi for Monday, 19″ February 2024.
“With this development, all NECO Staff who are due for promotion this year should note that the exercise has been put on hold indefinitely.”
The exam body had directed its staff members eligible for promotion to appear at its headquarters from January 13, 2024, to January 15, 2024.
However, the staff kicked against the development due to insecurity ravaging the country.
