The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has been recognized as the world’s leading public relations association, topping counterparts in the US, UK, and other countries.
The President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku,made the disclosure at the Nigeria Reputation Summit in Abuja, citing an assessment by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.
The NIPR President also linked the recognition to Nigeria’s successful bid to host the 2026 World Public Relations Forum.
While noting that the hosting rights were secured after a rigorous four-stage bidding process held across Bali, Nairobi, Venice, and virtual sessions.
The President highlighted that the World Public Relations Forum, will hold in Abuja in November 2026.
According to him, the program will attract PR leaders and professionals from over 126 countries.
“This will be the largest global gathering of public relations practitioners.
Hosting the 2026 World Public Relations Forum presents a strategic opportunity to enhance Nigeria’s global reputation.
In the same vein, he called for the support of government, the private sector, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful hosting of the event.
He disclosed that Nigeria’s reputation on the global stage would be significantly influenced by proper hosting of the forum.
” The conference will strengthen diplomatic goodwill, and project a positive national image to the country”.
