The National Youth Service Corps, Osun State has called on prospective participants to prioritise their security during the three-week orientation course scheduled to begin later this month.
State Coordinator, Ita Kubiangha, made the appeal in a statement released in Osogbo on Monday, stressing the importance of vigilance and good conduct within and outside the camp environment.
Beyond the safety message directed at corps members, the NYSC also urged parents, guardians, and members of the public to play supportive roles as the new batch undergoes the critical first phase of national service.
Kubiangha highlighted that the orientation programme is structured to build capacity among participants, combining physical drills, leadership development sessions, and other organised activities designed to foster discipline, unity, and self-reliance.
“The 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course will commence on April 24 and all prospective corps members are advised to comply fully with all directives issued by the scheme.
”We advise stakeholders to support the scheme towards actualisation of the orientation exercise within the stipulated period,” Kubiangha said
