Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed that her commitment to personal values and integrity has stopped her from becoming a billionaire despite several lucrative opportunities.
Speaking during an appearance on the The Afropolitan Show, the award-winning actress said she deliberately rejected deals that conflicted with her principles, choosing to uphold her standards rather than pursue wealth at any cost.
According to her, there were moments when she could have easily made huge financial gains without anyone knowing, but she chose to walk away.
She explained that compromising her beliefs for financial benefit was never an option for her, even when the opportunities were highly rewarding.
In a separate interview, the actress also opened up about her long-standing marriage to her husband, Matthew Ekeinde, describing him as a supportive and trusting partner.
Ekeinde said their over 30-year marriage has thrived on mutual trust and respect, noting that divorce is not an option she personally considers.
While acknowledging that every marriage is different, she said her husband’s selfless nature and lack of ego have played a significant role in the stability of their relationship.
