The Oodua Integrity Group has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, to launch an immediate investigation and order the arrest of an alleged gun runner, cultist, and land grabber operating in Asaba and Ibuzor, Delta State.
According to the South-South Coordinator of the group, Tosin Olaoluwa, the call follows disturbing reports received from concerned residents in the affected areas. Olaoluwa revealed that the suspect, identified as Lucky Blessings Abuah popularly known as “Bullet” is said to be heavily involved in gun running, land grabbing, and cult activities.
Tosin Olaoluwa said: “The gun runner popularly called Bullet but whose real name is Lucky Blessings Abuah moves with illegal police officers from River state which is against the Police law of operation for police from different command to work in another command not approved.
“Recently,it was discovered that four AK 47 were hidden in a house in Ibuzor but surprising the two mobile police officers guarding the house where the gun was found dissociated themselves from which indicated that they belong to the alleged viking cultist leader.
“He is not only involved in gun running but as well land grabbing and cult activities. A particular assistant commissioner of police is said to be his accomplice.There are also up to ten mobile police attached to Bullet at a time the inspector general of police has ordered for the withdrawal of mobile police officer from individuals not covered by law to move with them.
“The Oodua integrity group as a stakeholder in effective policing urge the IGP to immediately take actions inorder to arrest the culprit in the interest of the general public. Miscreants who uses government security agents to commit nefarious acts .
“Security agents from one of the security agencies in Abuja acting on intelligence report were stopped from carrying out their legitimate duties by police officers attached to bullet by pouring tear gas on them and shooting sporadically.
“The police men with bullet are from Rivers and stopped the security team from arresting Bullet.The activities of gun running by Bullet are both in Asaba and Ibuzor where they keep AK 47 and other types.”
