The Plateau State Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has wrapped up its series of activities aimed at reducing road accidents during the 2024 ember months with a call to action for travelers to report reckless driving.
The campaign, tagged “Speak Up Against Dangerous Driving: Crashes Kill More Passengers Than Drivers,” kicked off on November 6, 2024, in Jos, with a press briefing, town hall meeting, flier distribution, and motorcade carnival to sensitize the public.
“By reporting reckless driving and adhering to road safety guidelines, travellers can contribute to a safer ember month period. Remember, safe arrival is everyone’s responsibility,” emphasized Sector Commander Maxwell Plateau.
Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang commended the FRSC for its efforts to reduce road traffic crashes and assured that positive changes are coming to the state’s roads soon.
