Kastina State Police Command has arrested 21 years old Halilu Yusuf for kidnapping the son of his mentor.
According to the command, Yusuf lured the six years old boy from Kofar-Sauri quarters, and demanded a N2m ransom from the father.
Briefing journalist on Wednesday, the state police spokesman, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, said the suspect has admitted to the offence and would be charged to court after the completion of investigation.
Abubakar said: “On August 17, at about 2pm, based on credible intelligence, the command succeeded in arresting Halilu Yusuf, 21, of Gezawa, via Shinkafi village, in connection with a suspected case of kidnapping a six-year-old.”

“The team successfully traced and arrested the suspect, and the victim was rescued unhurt.”
