The Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, has disclosed that the the 11,000 Almajiri and Out-of-School children that were identified by the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education in the Federal Capital Territory will be enrolled in schools by September 2024.
The Minister made this known while taking a tour of the FCT Smart School in Karshi alongside the Minister of State for Education, Tanko Sununu.
He said, “Over 11,000 Almajiris were identified by the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education in the Federal Capital Territory alone, and they will be enrolled in different schools across the country by September.
“This is part of the legacy the government is delivering to Nigerians, which is to make provision for a digitalised school system for pupils to be trained in the use of technology right from kindergarten to basic and junior secondary school,”
