The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike received a delegation led by NLS Director -General, ISA Chiroma made a pledge to support the Nigerian Law School located in Bwari, Abuja by providing maximum security, vehicles and construction of Staff quarters on the Campus.
While making this pledge in Abuja, he said that security agencies will be deployed to ensure the safety of residents including private and public institutions in Bwari Area Council.
“We didn’t want to take any chances at all, knowing fully well the intelligence we were getting.
“This is because if anything happens, it will be a setback to the entire country and the FCT,” Wike explained
Mr Chiroma congratulated Wike for his appointment as minister in the delegation Adding that there is need to construct staff quarters and provide vehicles for the Abuja campus of the school as Wike will be recognised as the NLS’ awardees to be presented at its 60th Anniversary.
“Luckily, the legal profession is my own constituency and so, it will be out of place if they have problems and I won’t be able to support them. You should take it as granted that the FCT will support you,” Wike Said.
The Minister assured the management of NLS that there will be heavy security dispatched to Bwari Area Council where the School is located
