Bauchi State Government Sends 50 Students to China on Scholarship

The Bauchi State Government has granted scholarships to 50 students to study in China, positioning the state as a leader among North-East states in providing scholarships for overseas education.

The Permanent Commissioner of the Bauchi State Scholarship Board, Hussaini Saraki disclosed this during an interview with journalists on Monday.

He said the Governor has been approving scholarships for students to study medicine and other millennium courses in Chinese universities.

“Fifty beneficiaries of foreign scholarships awarded by the Bauchi State Government will soon depart for China, showcasing the state government’s commitment to advancing education and global opportunities for its youths.” – Hussaini Saraki, Permanent Commissioner of the Bauchi State Scholarship Board.

The students are currently processing their traveling documents, including visas, police character clearance, and other relevant documents. This development is a significant milestone for the state government, which has been working to provide opportunities for its youths to study abroad.

The governor also increased the scholarship amount for university students from N15,000 to N22,000 and is considering a further review due to the current economic situation in the country.
