Re-elected Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has urged residents to move beyond the divisions of the governorship election and unite for the development of the state.
Adeleke, in a statement, expressed gratitude for his renewed mandate, saying it comes with a greater responsibility to the people of Osun.
“This victory belongs to all of us, and I accept this renewed mandate with humility and a deep sense of responsibility,” he said.
The governor thanked traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, civil servants, pensioners, youths, women, artisans, traders, farmers and other residents who participated in the election and supported his administration.
He also expressed condolences to families who lost loved ones during the pre-election violence and prayed for the deceased to rest in peace.
Adeleke urged residents to put the divisions surrounding the election behind them and work together for the progress of the state.
“Together, let us heal, unite and continue building a greater Osun,” he said.
