A gruesome murder has shaken the Nise community in the Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, as three children of a native doctor were found dead in their home. The yet-to-be-identified killers scaled the fence of the building, gained entry into the compound, and brutally murdered the children before dumping their corpses in a parked Mercedes Benz car .
The police have launched a manhunt for the suspects, gathering information from residents around the area. According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, the police are working to unravel the circumstances behind the killing, including possible negligence on the part of the father or motive of the suspect.
“No stone will be left unturned in our quest for justice for the murdered children and their family,” says Ikenga,
Sources in the area claim that the killing may be connected to alleged disagreements between the father of the deceased and some individuals over a business deal. However, this has not been officially confirmed.
The police have visited the scene of the incident, evacuated the corpses, and interacted with those around the scene, including the father of the deceased. The investigation is ongoing, and the police assure that the report will be made public as soon as it is concluded.
