A group of bridesmaids have taken to social media to express their outrage and disappointment after being treated poorly by a bride at a village wedding.

The bridesmaids alleged that the bride failed to provide basic necessities, including food, transportation, and drinking water, forcing them to fetch water from a river.

In a shocking revelation, the bridesmaids claimed that the bride withheld souvenirs from them because they refused to “shake ikebe” (a colloquialism for dancing seductively) to entice men to give the bride money.

One bridesmaid recounted the humiliating experience, saying:
“We went for wedding in a village without light, water or network… bride didn’t provide feeding or transport for us, we paid it all, we had to go to river to get water … drinking water wasn’t even provided and this bride wanted to leave us behind in the village… omo we had to stand up for our rights… she didn’t give us souvenirs cause she said we didn’t shake ikebe for men to get her money … never have I ever seen something like this all my life.”
