Drunk Driver Kills Four Soldiers, Injures Others

A suspected drunk driver lost control of his vehicle and rammed into a group of soldiers from the Myoung Barracks in Morocco, Lagos, who were engaged in their monthly road jogging exercise outside the barracks leaving four soldiers dead and several others , in the early hours of Friday.

Speaking with PUNCH, an eyewitness and local resident, provided a detailed account of the tragic incident, saying a Toyota vehicle carrying three young men was traveling at full speed before colliding with a group of soldiers participating in their monthly morning road walk outside the barracks.

Priscilla reported that following the accident, the occupants attempted to flee but were apprehended and severely beaten by the crowd. Their vehicle was also vandalized, and one of the young men was stabbed by the soldiers.

“The incident occurred early this morning during the soldiers’ monthly road walk,” Priscilla stated. “The vehicle rammed into the soldiers right in front of the barracks, resulting in four fatalities and multiple serious injuries. The boys tried to escape but were caught and brutally beaten. The incident has sparked widespread panic among local residents.”
