A shocking incident has unfolded in the Oke-Ira Ilogbo Eremi Community, Marogbo, where Mr. Peter Dike allegedly brutally killed his wife during a heated argument that turned violent. According to the Lagos State Police Command, the suspect stabbed his wife to death with a kitchen knife at their apartment on Wednesday .
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed that detectives from the Morogbo Division were swiftly alerted and arrived at the scene.
Hundeyin stated,
“The case is confirmed. After a team of detectives who were on surveillance township monitoring patrol in the area got the information, they moved in swiftly and arrested the suspect.” A kitchen knife stained with blood was recovered from the suspect, who later confessed to the crime during interrogation.
The victim’s corpse has been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital, Badagry. The case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti Yaba, for further investigation and prosecution.
