Plateau Government Condemns Bokkos Attacks, Vows Justice for Victims

The Plateau State Government has strongly condemned the recent wave of violent attacks in Bokkos Local Government Area, the attacks occurred on April 2, 2025, targeting communities such as Mangor Tamiso, Daffo, Manguna, Hurti, and Tadai .

Mrs. Joyce Ramnap, Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communications, disclosed this in a statement released to journalists in Jos.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and assure them that every effort is being made to bring the perpetrators to justice,”

The government has deployed security agencies to the affected areas to restore normalcy. “Security agencies have deployed and dominated these areas to ensure normalcy returns at the shortest possible time,” the statement added. Important arrests have been made, and the government urges citizens to exercise restraint and cooperate with law enforcement.

Residents are also encouraged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the relevant security agencies. “Citizens must actively cooperate with law enforcement to facilitate the identification and apprehension of those responsible for these heinous acts,” Ramnap emphasized.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s administration remains committed to upholding law and order, pursuing justice against those who seek to destabilize the communities. “Plateau State Government remains resolute in its commitment to upholding law and order and will not relent in its pursuit of justice,” the statement concluded .
