Celebrity fashion designer Victoria James, popularly known as Veekee James, and her husband Femi Atere have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Eliana Adeife Atere.
The couple shared the news on Instagram on May 13, 2026, revealing that Eliana was born on May 2 in the United States. She weighed 3.83 kg at birth.
In her post, Veekee explained the meaning behind her daughter’s name. “EL means God, ANA means He has answered,” she wrote.
“My God has answered.” She anchored the announcement with 1 Samuel 1:27: “For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.”
The birth comes nearly two years after the couple’s highly publicized wedding in February 2024. Veekee and Femi got engaged in December 2023 and held a three-part ceremony that drew family, friends, and celebrities from Nigeria’s entertainment and fashion circles.
The announcement has drawn an outpouring of congratulatory messages from colleagues in the fashion and entertainment industry, including Mo Abudu, Osas Ighodaro, and KieKie.
The Next Level Prayer community and Harvesters International Christian Church, where the couple worships, also marked the occasion with prayers and virtual celebrations.
For Veekee, who built her brand on bridal and couture designs, motherhood marks a new chapter. She first announced her pregnancy in February 2026, telling followers they had waited and prayed for a year before receiving the news.
